Short biography
Vincenzo Follykoué (Vincent Ekoué Follykoué, born 1975 in Lomé, Togo) is a painter, sculptor and trumpet player who has lived and worked in Paris since 2003. Self-taught, trained by an uncle who was a sculptor and shaped by the Togolese tractographes Sokey Edorh and Alphonse Sallah, he has exhibited in Senegal (2001–2003), France (Paris, Troyes, Montigny-le-Bretonneux, Mérignac) and Togo, where he is part of the group exhibition N'Sindodo at the Kijain Museum, Lomé, until January 2027.
Artist statement
As a painter and sculptor, Vincenzo Follykoué works in a visual language built on mixed media, combining acrylic, collage and fusion techniques. This freedom to experiment lets him move beyond the boundaries between disciplines and create a world where forms, textures and colours meet to tell the human story. Warm colours are central to his work: they convey energy, human warmth, vitality and the intensity of emotion.
